Why I shoul use full URL for scr attribute?

Hello All,
I try to repeat extension from: http://www.ralree.info/2006/9/13... and using sanitize_html flag.
When I use short URL (without host name) RedCloth exclude scr attribute from img tag.
Why? How can I use short URL?
