RedCloth ignore carets
Reported by Cyril Ruel | September 1st, 2009 @ 04:07 AM
Hi,
I use RedCloth 4.2.2 and I tried to superscript a phrase like this:
aux XVIII^e^ et XIX^e^ siècles
But it doesn't work. RedCloth doesn't replace carets by sup
tags. So I get:
<p>aux XVIII^e^ et XIX^e^ siècles</p>.

Carets (nor any other inline markup) aren't recognized unless they surround a complete word or words. You can force it with square brackets.
aux XVIII[^e^] et XIX[^e^] siècles
<p>aux <span class="caps">XVIII</span>e et <span class="caps">XIX</span>e siècles</p>
